It was a busy end of another fun week at Earls Hal! The day saw Mr Geach lead another year group assembly where, with the children all spaced out in their bubbles in a fully ventilated hall, the classes from Year Five developed their growth mindset by investigating the power of yet! Mr Geach and the children talked about examples where the children could have given up but decided to rise to the challenge by saying that they couldn’t do it yet rather than they couldn’t do it.
Later in the day the children in 6C were shinning examples of that very mindset as they developed their tennis skills outside whilst the children in 6M enjoyed their final Bikeability session. It has been another fantastic week of cycling which has seen children grow in confidence on their bikes day by day.
As the children in Beech designed their own logos for products in the IT suite, Mrs Timpson was joined by a group of children from Oak who took on the responsibility of caring for the animals. The goat enclosure was given a good clean whilst the birds were given fresh bedding, food and water.
The arrival of empty cardboard boxes in the Foundation Stage inspired the children in Hedgehogs to use them to create their own trails and dens whilst the children in Sycamore continued to understand healthy lifestyles by planning their own balanced meals.
