It was a smashing start to the week at Earls Hall as we held the first two of four sports days taking place this week. The morning began with the children in the Foundation Stage taking to the field and trying their very best on the track. The children, each representing their respective houses and wearing their coloured t-shirts, took part in flat races, egg and spoon, sack and beanbag balancing races and each and every child did their house proud with plenty of smiles on show throughout the morning. At the end of the morning there was time for a toddler race before a host of parents took to the track to show off their sporting prowess.

In the afternoon, we were joined by parents of children in Years One and Two who watched their children take part in a similar line up of races and there was lots of applause and cheers echoing around the field as they encouraged the children on the track. Again, the afternoon ended with the parents taking to the track in order to show the children how it’s done! Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who came along to join us at some point today. Our final two sports days take place tomorrow and the winning house will be announced at the end of the day on the field. Which house will be triumphant this year?!

Meanwhile, inside, the children in Willow enjoyed a tasty Design Technology lesson. The children taste tested and evaluated a range of healthy salad meals which will help them to design their own salad dish and choose which ingredients they would like to include.
