It was another busy day at Earls Hall and one which saw many of the children take part in some super scientific investigations.

The children in Badgers took part in an investigation which saw them identifying which materials would be the best to use in an umbrella. They made predictions and then tested them by pouring water through them over a beaker in order to see how much liquid got through.

Meanwhile, in Year Five, there was much excitement as the children made their own lava lamps! The children used vinegar, food colouring, bicarbonate of soda and a torch in order to create some really groovy lamps and loved every minute of the investigation.

Outside, the children in Rabbits made beautiful music- of sorts- as they created their own percussion instruments out of building blocks and kitchen utensils. There was more music in Sycamore as the children used the roll away keyboards and glockenspiels.

On the field, the children in Aspen classified varieties of trees whilst, in Foxes, the children developed their understanding of road safety and designed posters in order to spread the message to others. Upstairs, the children in Year Six constructed the roofs for their shelters whilst the children in Foundation Stage enjoyed learning through play, both indoors and outside.
