PE & Playscripts!

As we headed towards the end of the half term there was plenty of activity in school! The morning started with a visit from Katie Stanton from Earls Hall Baptist Church in both assemblies. Katie’s assembly centred around the theme of joy and there was plenty of audience participation. Thanks, as always, for your time Katie.

Later in the morning the children from Hawks learnt about playscripts. They identified the features of a playscript and then began writing their own based around a stone aged theme. Meanwhile, down the corridor, the children in Kestrels identified adjectives which describe emotions.

Later in the day the children in Beech used the upstairs hall in order to improve their balance sequences in PE whilst, below in the downstairs hall, the children in Foxes continued their superhero training by moving stealthily, practising travelling low around the hall and looking for different ways to travel on the apparatus.

At the end of the afternoon Mr B enjoyed hearing a group of readers from Hedgehogs whilst the children in Robins shared more helicopter stories where the children acted out their self composed stories.
