It was a busy day of creativity across the school today as many of the year groups developed their design technology skills by model making.

The children in Year Two continued to create a range of moon buggies using cardboard boxes. Having cut and attached their wheels and axels, the children added details to the actual shell of their buggies by cutting and securing a range of additional features. Some children added windscreens made out of plastic containers whilst others cut and stuck seats for the astronauts out of pots, card or egg boxes. The buggies are really starting to take shape, with each and every one formed from a unique and individual design.

Meanwhile, as the children in Kestrels began independently researching details about life in the Stone Age as part of our enquiry curriculum, the children in 6CW were decorating their Hagrid huts using a range of different materials.

Over in Oak the children put the finishing touches to their plinth art by measuring, cuttinng, wrapping and securing a range of different materials around their wire frames. The finished works of art all reflect the individual designs created by the children with each frame carrying out a different pose to reflect their character.

After school, Mrs Hanshaw hosted another session of drawing club where this afternoon the children were challenged to complete a picture of Mr B. The children were given a photo of half of his face and then created different versions of the opposite side with some creative and hilarious results!
