It was a fantastic end to the week today as we once again celebrated the efforts and achievements of individual children from across the school in our two ‘Celebration Assemblies’. One pupil from every class from Years One to Six was presented with an ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificate for reflecting our Earls Hall qualities in a variety of ways throughout the week and there were dozens of children presented with badges for either reading or times tables efforts. Well done to all of the children presented with badges or certificates today, we are proud of you!

In the KS2 assembly we presented badges to the first of our new members of the Faith Council to children in Years Five and Six. Children were invited to volunteer to join the council in order to monitor the representation of their various faiths in the school curriculum and wider community events and, with over sixty children volunteering, the council has a bright and busy future ahead of them. Well done to all of the children presented with their badges today, we are proud of you!

Later in the day, as some of the children in Hedgehogs showed an interest in unicorns and chose to make masks of the mythical creatures, the children in Year Two had a busy afternoon as they began to create their own moon buggies! The children used hand saws to cut wood in order to insert wheels and axels into cardboard boxes, forming the basis of their buggies. There was more creativity on show in Oak as the children continued to create their plinth art. Having previously created wire frames for their statues, the children used a range of materials which they cut into strips and wrapped around sections of the wire in order to create definition.

At the end of the afternoon we held another meeting of this weeks ‘Learning Ambassadors’. A representative from each class in KS1 and KS2 met with Mrs Woof, one of our school governors, in order to discuss the learning which has been taking place across the school throughout the week. Well done to all of the children who attended this weeks meeting, we are proud of you!
