It was another busy day in school. The morning started with a bit of a love fest in the downstairs hall as the children joined together to sing one of their favourite assembly songs, ‘Love Shine a Light’. Miss Patching and a host of eager volunteers from the classes joined Mr B up the front to lead the waving to the beat of the tune. By the end of the assembly the whole hall were on their feet and feeling the love!

Later in the day, the children in Kites designed and began to create their own metallic pictures using cardboard and magnetic strips whilst the children in 6C investigated the events of VE and VJ day using the laptops, firstly for research purposes and then secondly to type up their findings.

Upstairs, in Sycamore, the children focused on feelings, emotions and opinions in a series of circle time games and activities whilst downstairs, in Rabbits, the children shared books and took part in guided reading sessions with Mrs Geach.

The end of the day in Dormice was an enjoyable one as they finished the afternoon with a lovely storytime session. After school Mrs Cockett led the final ‘Craft Club’ of the term which saw the children decorating cakes!
