Last Day Leavers!

It was the final day of the academic year at Earls Hall and it was as busy as ever! The day saw our lovely Year Six pupils end their time in school in style. They were the stars of the morning assembly where they sang ‘When I Grow Up’, from the Matilda musical, to the rest of the school. At the end of the assembly, each of the Year Six classes was given a round of applause before the whole year group were given three cheers and clapped out of the hall by the staff and children. The afternoon saw the children sign each others shirts before saying their final farewells at the end of the day. Good luck children, we are proud of you!

The day also saw the children and staff say a fond farewell to the wonderful Miss Fitzgerald who begins her retirement after forty one years in teaching, the last fifteen of which she spent at Earls Hall. It was time to also say goodbye to the much loved Mr Cann after eight happy years with us.

Out at the front of the school, the children in Year Two wished the magical Mrs MacGavin a happy retirement by hosting a Forest Friends party. Mrs MacGavin was presented with cards made by the children and surprised by her husband and familiar faces from over the twenty five happy years that she has been at the school. Good luck to Miss Fitzgerald, Mr Cann and Mrs MacGavin!
