It was a fantastic end to the week for a group of children from across Years One and Two today as they represented Earls Hall at this years KS1 Borough Sports competition. Held once again at Garons, the children took part in a series of track and field events against young athletes from a series of other schools from across the city. Having previously practised their skills in school with Miss Patching, all of our children had a great day and gave each and every event their very best. Well done children, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, back in school, as groups of children from Badgers and Aspen took their turns looking after the farm animals, the children from the Cabin used their imagination to create postcards recounting an imaginary day at the seaside. Drawing on their recent experience on their Coastal Schools trip, the children included questions for their recipients to answer and detailed sentences about their day. Their work was so stunning that they visited Mr B in his office and were each congratulated with one of his special stickers.

As more children took to the field in order to practise their sports day races, the children in Robins enjoyed another swimming lesson with Mr Knight over in the pool.

In our two ‘Celebration Assemblies’ we presented individual children from each class with ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificates in recognition of their efforts and achievements whilst also congratulating our latest times table achievers with postcards and ‘Reading Champions’ with their special badges and medals. Well done children, we are proud of you!
