It was an extremely special day at Earls Hall today as we welcomed the return of our Year Six 2020 leavers for a special reunion after school. Having left the school in the midst of the Covid pandemic, the children were robbed of the usual leaving party which all other year groups have come to expect. We had always promised the children that when the time was right we would see them return and so today we kept to our promise and invited them back. We were delighted that the vast majority of the year group took us up on our invite and returned looking stylish and grown up. Mrs Warren-Hardy and Mrs Bridges were on hand to serve up a delicious BBQ and many of the team in school came and joined the pupils to say hello.

The children were eager to take a look back inside the school and so were accompanied by the team to take them round before socialising on the field. When they were with us, the children had been unable to take part in the traditional Year Six ‘Tug O War’ which they enjoy at the end of their sports day and so they were challenged to take part as part of the fun, boys against girls. It was a tough battle but the girls were victorious! It was beyond lovely to see the children safe, well and happy after so long. Thank you to all of the staff who helped and to the pupils themselves for taking the time to join us. Once an Earls Hallian, always an Earls Hallian!

Earlier in the day, a number of classes from across the school took to the field in order to practise their races for next weeks sports days whilst the children in Year Six took to the upstairs hall in order to rehearse their up and coming production of Peter Pan.
