It was a productive day for the children in the Foundation Stage today! Whilst some children enjoyed playing outside in the Early Years garden, others worked in teams inside following their own interests. Some children in Robins used the giant carpet tubes to create their own tunnel route for toy cars to travel down. They worked as a team to alter the angle of the tunes to see if it had an impact on how fast the car would zoom out the end. Later in the afternoon, whilst some of the children enjoyed playing in the role play area where a dragon had arrived for tea, a group of children used the wooden blocks to make some impressive towers. They realised that they had made the tower balance by creating it symmetrically before enjoying knocking it down with an almighty bang! Meanwhile, some children created their own hats out of paper plates whilst others cut their own pieces of cardboard before beautifully attaching them together with tape in order to make their own cuboids. With children playing number games on the interactive whiteboard or enjoying the water and builders trays, it was a fun and busy afternoon all round!

Meanwhile, upstairs, the children in Sycamore enjoyed their French lesson where they played a game of charades in order to guess the French food phrase such as mangez les fraises (eat the strawberries), prenez une glace (take an ice cream), or coupez le fromage (cut the cheese).

Out on the field, the children in Badgers enjoyed a great PE lesson in the sunshine. They developed their sprinting techniques as well as their throwing skills when using the howlers.

Whilst Mabel enjoyed a fun playtime with the children in Woodpeckers, a group of children from Elm were responsible for watering the raised beds in the wellbeing gardens.
