Field Frolics!

It was a fabulous day for disco fans today at Earls Hall as the field played host to the end of year dances for the children in KS2. In the afternoon, the children from Years Three to Five, all donned in their best party clothes, took to the field where they took part in a disco hosted by the marvellous Micky B. There were dance competitions, treats to purchase and even one long conga that snaked its way across almost the entirety of the field. A great time was enjoyed by the children, what a way to end the day.

After school it was the turn of our Year Six pupils as they enjoyed their leavers disco. The children were all dressed to impress as they back flipped, crabbed and wormed on the grass, letting their hair down and really getting into the party mood! Even Mr Geach strutted his stuff with a cartwheel on the grass!  Micky battled the boys against the girls in a dance off with volunteers taking turns to show off their skills in turn. There was a huge cheer as the girls were victorious! There was a fantastic atmosphere, a great end of term party to celebrate their time with us at Earls Hall. Thank you to Micky B for once again giving us his time to make the party go with a bang!

Earlier in the day, as the children in Squirrels enjoyed a library time where they browsed through the titles and read for pleasure, the children in Sycamore created their own advertising campaigns in groups. As the children in Dormice role played a hair salon, with their number one customer being Miss Cracknell, the downstairs hall hosted another ‘Tea with Teachers’ session where the parents of children moving into Year Six next year introduced themselves to Mrs Creak, Mrs Wood, Mrs Joyce and Miss Mosely. Thanks to everyone who made it along to say hello over a cup of tea.
