The end of the week turned out to be just as busy as the beginning today as the children from across all classes took part in some exciting activities.
Owls investigated the mission of Major Tim Peake, with Mrs Day explaining about the space walk he was due to undertake today. They discussed how the mission may make him feel and how exciting it was for both the major and Britain as a whole.
In Foxes the children used the laptops to investigate the ROAMER programme. They entered a series of instructions to move around a course on the screen inn pairs whilst in Kestrels and kites the children continued learning about volcanoes. Miss Neal demonstrated how a volcano erupts by acting it out with her body before the whole class joined in with great amounts of enthusiasm!
In the hall Mr Smith was working with Year Six to undertake javelin trials. The children took turns to show off their skills to him, throwing the javelins with skill. Mr B had a go too but was a little disappointed with his effort so needless to say he won’t be representing the school at any tournaments in the near future!
