It was another exciting day for sport as two teams of children from Years Five and Six represented Earls Hall at the Southend schools dodgeball tournament held at Garons. Supervised by Mrs Gillard and Mrs Lantaff, the first team took part in the morning dodgeball festival where the children played against a host of other schools from the city and there was a mix of wins, loses and draws. In the afternoon another team was joined by Mrs Bowers as they took part in the tournament leg of the day. The children displayed excellent team work skills and came a fantastic third place at the end of the afternoon. Well done to all of the children who represented the school so beautifully, we are proud of you all!

Meanwhile, back in school, there was more sport on show as the children in Oak and Aspen took to the court on the playground in order to develop their basketball skills.

Out of the front of the school, the children in Year Two used their Forest Friends sessions to show off their creative skills. The class foraged for natural materials in the wood and in the cabin and then made decorations ready for the Christmas season starting soon. Children made reindeers, Santas and tree decorations out of wooden discs, twigs and wool and there were some stunning end results on display by the end of the session.

Back inside, the children in Year Five continued to work through their Greek theme by designing and starting the construction of their individual Greek pots. They used handsaws to cut Pringle tubes which they attached to balloons before covering with papier mache. It was a hive of activity as the children helped each other with the tricky bits!
