It was a day full of physical fun for many of the children today as they took to the field and playgrounds in order to develop their sporting skills! The children in Kites and Kestrels spent time out on the basketball court where they learnt how to control the ball in a variety of ways. They played a series of games where ball control was key to success and by the end of the sessions every child had progressed from their starting point.
Meanwhile, the children in Elm enjoyed developing their football skills on the field. There was more football fun after school as Mrs Burrell and Mrs Hill led another girls football club for the children in Years Five and Six. The club is in its early days still but is proving to be really popular and the girls were certainly throwing themselves into the activities with great gusto!
As the children in Year Two took to the upstairs hall in order to rehearse their Christmas play, the children in Kites spent time in the computer room where they drew shapes and patterns using Roamer. Upstairs, the children in 6J were experimenting with water colours whilst the children in 6C continued to plan their blogs where they will be communicating all about life at Earls Hall. Downstairs the children in the Foundation Stage enjoyed making Jurassic worlds, playing in the role play areas and writing lists and books.
