Artistic Afternoon!

There was a host of artistic talents on display across Earls Hall this afternoon as class after class took part in a range of creative activities!

Our youngest children developed their finest folding and sticking skills in order to create some fantastic reindeers out of paper and card whilst the children in Year Two, cut, folded and scored a net before decorating it with their own individual designs in order to create their own Christmas boxes. In Year One the children created their own Christmas pictures using collage techniques.

Upstairs in Year Three the children followed a set of instructions in order to make their own 3D penguin whilst, down the corridor, the children in Year Five began putting the finishing touches to their unique Greek tiles. The children added the fine detail using different sized brushes and by choosing from a range of different colours.

In 6C the children continued to be inspired by the work of William Turner by starting to create their own water colours of landscapes. They created their own washes by choosing from a family of colours. In Aspen the children used the laptops to create their own Christmas pictures using Logo whilst in Elm the children worked in pairs in order to create their own Powerpoint presentations about the Romans.

It was a special day for our lovely Miss Holmes as she celebrated her thirtieth birthday. Miss Holmes was presented with a bouquet of flowers and wished well by her friends from a safe distance in the staff room. Many happy returns Miss Holmes!
