The whole of Earls Hall was adorned with festive colour today as the entire school community came out in force to take part in ‘Christmas Jumper Day’. The children and staff donned their seasonal woolies in support of ‘Save the Children’ and there were some magnificent offerings on display as usual. As well as purchased tops some children had decorated their own jumpers and each and every class looked wonderful. Thank you for all of the donations for the charity. The contributions will be added at the beginning of next week and we will let you know how much was raised as soon as the total is calculated.

Meanwhile, throughout the day, our remaining classes spent time visiting Father Christmas in his magical grotto on his final day in school. The children all spent time chatting with our special visitor from a safe distance and a great time was had by all. Thank you so much to Father Christmas for his time at what must be a very frantic time back at the workshop!

There was much excitement down in Dormice as they were lucky enough to spend time with |Mabel. Our friendly dog played with the children in the Early Years garden and was also taken for a walk on the playground by a group of pupils. the children and Mabel were all on their best behaviour and it was a lovely treat for all at the end of a busy week. There was more animal action in the goat enclosure as some children from Squirrels spent time playing with Geraldine, Gordon and Gerald.

Upstairs, the children in Year Five spent the afternoon creating festive pictures which will be displayed over in Southend hospital over the Christmas period whilst there was more artistic talent on show in Elm as the children created their own portraits in the style of Picasso!
