It was an extremely busy end to the week at Earls Hall! The children in Hawks were the third and final class of Year Three to venture out of school for a day out at Belfairs Woods. It may have been a tad on the wet side throughout the day but the children enjoyed themselves none the less. They created their own works of art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy, investigated the sculptures in the woods and created their own observational sketches before ending the day in the play park.
Meanwhile, back in school, as the children in Robins launched their own rocket into space whilst donning their own self made space helmets, the children across Year Two used their designs from earlier in the week to create their own large scale castles. They used boxes and other junk modelling materials and worked in pairs to create a range of unique creations!
It was a special day as our two ‘Celebration Assemblies’ rewarded dozens of children from each year group for their efforts in reading and learning their times tables at home as the first of our champions scheme badges were presented. The children were presented with special bronze badges and were applauded by their friends in the hall a year group or class at a time. Well done to all of the children presented with badges today, we are proud of you!
