It was a bit of a wet day at Earls Hall today but that didn’t stop a group of children from 6M taking on the responsibility of looking after the animals. The goats may have been keen to stay inside their stable as they are not fans of the damp conditions but the children never the less took turns to clear the enclosure of droppings and loose straw before topping up their hay, food and water.

Back inside, the children in Robins continued to show an interest in space and so worked together in order to create a large rocket which they decorated on the floor. Some of the children also made their own rockets as individuals or pairs using junk modelling materials in the creative area. Next door in Hedgehogs, there was more creativity on display as the children tried to transform themselves into animals by creating their own masks.

Having played host to the early morning snooker club before school, the downstairs hall was used for a PE session for Owls ehere Mr Crooks helped the children to develop their jumping skills. There was more PE on display in the upstairs hall as the children from Oak continued ot develop their carnival dances to Samba music before heading to the computer suite in order to use the laptops to research their Geography topic of pollution.

Having enjoyed an assembly which focused on developing a growth mindset, the children in Beech negotiated their own rules to games using random objects and the children in 6J researched the life and work of Isaac Newton.
