Whoops!

It was a wonderful day for the children in Year One today as they took to the stage on two occasions in order to perform the Christmas story ‘Whoops-a-Daisy Angel’!

The performance told the story of  a disorganised, clumsy but lovable angel who never feels as though she is given an important job to do. Suddenly, she is surprised and delighted when she is chosen to show the way to Bethlehem in order to witness the birth of Baby Jesus.

The children sang, danced and acted their way through the show to the delight of proud parents and other family members. Well done to all of the children who performed, we are proud of you all.

After each of the performances had finished, the PTA were on hand once again to serve Christmas refreshments. Thank you, once again, to all of our volunteers.

Elsewhere in school, the children in Year Five followed a series of instructions in order to create their own cardboard folded elf hat whilst the children in 6C were investigating how Darwin’s Finches had evolved and adapted to survive in their environments through a fun experiment involving sweets! Meanwhile, in the upstairs hall, the children from Beech took part in a circuit of exercises.

Mr B and Miss Neal were joined at the centre table in the Woodland Diner by another group of children who had been spotted displaying excellent manners. There was more pride on show in Mr B’s office as he enjoyed some reading sessions with children from the Foundation Stage and KS1. Well done to all of the children who read today, you really made Mr B’s day!
