It was a special day for a number of children from across the school today as we rewarded a whole host of pupils with the status of ‘Ultimate Reading Champions’! Over the course of three special assemblies, the halls were full of proud parents and other family members who were all eager to see their children presented with special medals and badges.

Having welcomed our guests, Mr B had the honour of presenting each child in turn with medals or badges in recognition of reading over two hundred and fifty times to an adult at home. Whilst waiting their turn to be called up, the children in the audience demonstrated the ‘Earls Hall Quality’ of being respectful by sitting beautifully. It was a wonderful start to the week, thank you to all of the parents who came along to congratulate the children. Well done children, we are proud of you!

Later in the day, the children in Willow turned chefs for the afternoon as they each prepared a delicious healthy salad. Having designed their meal to be nutritionally balanced, the children used a range of skills to prepare their meals. They chopped, sliced, diced and grated their ingredients until they finished their meal. It was a mouth watering afternoon!
