It was a super day for the children in Year One today as they continued to help Traction Man as he set them a series of challenges. In their English lesson the children received a message from their hero which revealed that he had gained a new power; invisibility! In his invisible state he wrote on the visualiser that he wanted them to create and describe their own hero in a booklet form which they did by including adjectives.

Later in the morning the children were set the challenge to shop for Traction Man but had to use as many different combinations of coins as possible. they knew that Traction Man was in the room watching them work their hardest even though they couldn’t see him!

In the KS1 assembly Mrs Stokes told the story of Joseph and his technicoloured dreamcoat whilst the children in Dormice investigated the disappearance of their class toy owl by acting as detectives, matching footprints to members of staff around the school and concentrating on asking to see their shoes using their best manners.

Upstairs the children in Year Three investigated ancient Stonehenge. They were challenged to research the landmark and find out as many facts as possible which they recorded in jottings. Later, they worked in pairs and groups in order to create their own models of Stonehenge using Cheesy Wotsits and cream cheese, chocolate bourbons, blu-tak and multilink.
