It was another busy day at school. The KS2 assembly in the morning saw the children from Elm lead assembly in order to inform the children all about the RSPB Big Bird Watch. The children told them how to get involved with the watch and presented the information beautifully. Well done children, we are proud of you.

There was more bird action outside in the ‘Forest Friends’ area as the children from Year One continued their own investigation into bird life by recreating the act of nest building in pairs and teams. The children learnt how birds collect and organise twigs and other forest items in order to protect their eggs.

In the afternoon there were more celebrations in the downstairs hall as we held our second ‘Attendance Assembly’ of the week, today for children in Year One who attended school for over 95% of the time in the Autumn term. The children were  presented with special certificates in front of proud parents and other family members. Well done children, we are proud of you.

After school we held another ‘Reptile Club’ where the children heard all about various lizards. The children learnt about their diets, habitats and habits before each taking turns to handle them carefully.
