It was another fun day at Earls Hall and one which was full of activity! The morning began with the children in KS1 joining Mr B in assembly for a singing session. They sang their favourites; ‘Love Shine a Light’ and ‘Sandy Land’ with volunteers from the classes chosen to lead the actions.

Later in the day the children in Year Two continued to investigate animals. They researched facts about chosen creatures, made notes about them and then wrote their own sentences based on their notes and made them interesting by including a conjunction. As the day progressed the children began to identify continents of the world where various animals could be found and marked them independently on a map.

Upstairs in Elm the children began their work on building their own websites by visiting sites of interest to them on the internet and identifying features they might wish to recreate whilst in the upstairs hall the children in Willow enjoyed a fun PE session.

In 6C the children used their English session to identify synonyms, antonyms, prefixes and suffixes whilst in Year three the children began investigating cave art. Mr B has been hearing children from across KS1 read all week and ended his day with two children from Year Two who wowed him by including fantastic expression when reading aloud.

After school the upstairs hall was used for Bowls Club. The team from Prittlewell Bowls Club taught the children how to aim for the Jack with the woods and there was lots of talent on display from the children. Meanwhile, downstiars in Oak class, Mrs Cockett hosted another fun Craft Club.
