It was the last day of term, and therefore the whole academic year, today meaning that for our Year Six pupils it was their final day at Earls Hall. After seven happy years the children saw their time out in school in style. In the morning they were the stars of the show in the ‘Celebration Assembly’, singing for the rest of KS2 and being given three cheers by the children and teachers.

For some, emotions ran high but we focused on smiling with pride rather than being sad. It is an exciting time for the children as they head off to the adventures that secondary school will provide them with. In the afternoon the children followed the tradition of signing each others shirts and autograph books out on the playground before heading inside to try and get the autographs and messages from former teachers and teaching assistants. At the end of the day the children were joined by parents who came along to say goodbye. Thanks so much for being such a smashing year group, we are more proud of you than you will ever realise.

At lunchtime we said good bye to all of the members of the team who are bidding us a fond farewell. We said another goodbye to Miss Neal, Mrs Winder and Mrs Bowers as they start their retirement but we also said our goodbyes to Mrs Cook, Mrs Pattrick, Mrs Clare and Mrs Cole. We wish them all luck and thank them for their years of dedication to the school.
