It was another exciting day in terms of Earls Hall sport today as two teams of children went to Garons in order to represent the school at this years KS2 Quad Kids competition. The day saw the children compete in sprint, standing long jump, howler throw and a long distance run and all of our pupils thrilled Mr Crooks and Mr Gordon with their enthusiasm throughout the day! It was noted again how our children were so keen to show encouragement to each other and also to children from other schools. It was a brilliant day which saw the Year Five and Six tem come in third place overall and Tom finishing third as an individual. Well done to all of the children who took part, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, back in school, as the children in Year Five worked in groups to identify features of a balanced argument in English, the children in Year Two spent the morning creating Lion King props which will be used when they perform their ‘Circle of Life’ dances to their parents. Each classroom was a hive of activity as they created a range of animals using paint and collage techniques.

In the morning, a group of children from 6C helped Miss Kelly clean out Gordon, Gerald and Geraldine’s enclosure whilst, at the end of the afternoon, Mr B hosted a KS1 assembly where the children focused on how using the words please and thank you can make others see you as polite. The children discussed the difference these small words can make and how using them can make others feel respected.
