It was a fantastic day for the children in Badgers today as they represented Earls Hall at this years Southend inter-school Dance Festival! Hosted by our friends at Alleyn Court, the festival saw children from schools from across the city come together in order to share their dance skills by performing in the beautiful outdoor stage area. Our children took to the stage with confidence where they performed a wonderful piece to the classic Lion King track ‘Circle of Life’ by Elton John. After weeks of rehearsals, the day saw the routine come together in style with all of the children performing to a high standard. Along with Foxes and Owls, the children will be able to perform to their parents back at school on Tuesday 24th May. Well done children, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, back in school, the sunny weather proved to be the perfect backdrop for the children in Aspen as they enjoyed a fun Forest Friends session. The children were challenged to create their own games using a range of resources before teaching other groups how to play them. There were a range of skills needed to complete each challenge and a great time was had by all.

As the children in Year Three continued to create their habitat landscapes and the children in 6C developed their Tudor masks, the children in 6J took part in a lung capacity investigation.

In the afternoon, the children in Robins were thrilled to be visited by the lovely Miss Cracknell who has been away from school with an injured foot.  Keen to share all of their news, the children were bursting to chat and loved seeing their special visitor!
