It has been a couple of busy days for members of our pupil voice councils at Earls Hall!  Yesterday, our Science Ambassadors met and shared with each other the reasons why they love the subject so much. The ambassadors from Oak shared some practical science activities which they had recently undertaken and the children were given the task of gathering some interesting science facts which each class have learnt recently in preparation for their next meeting.

There was more discussion in our Green Team meeting. As it’s energy saving week, the children discussed ideas which they could put in place to save electricity at school.  The children recently completed an environmental survey for Earls Hall and they are going to consider the results from this to help us decide their focus for this term.

Today, the children in Beech took part in a healthy debating session where they shared their opinions with regards to whether children should be made to wear school uniform. They worked in groups to generate their arguments and thought of ideas for the opposing point of view so they could prepare counter-arguments.

Meanwhile, as some of the children in Year Three focused on activities surrounding the RSPB Birdwatch in Forest Friends, others continued their work investigating the Stone Age by using non-fiction books to answer questions set to them about the period.

As the children in Year Five investigated the various layers of the Rainforest, the children in KS1 ended their day by taking part in a glorious singing assembly.
