There was a sense of celebration across the school today as the children took part in a series of exciting activities.

The celebrations started this morning when the children from across Year Three invited parents and family members into assembly to hear all about the learning they have taken part in recently.

The assembly gave the children the opportunity to explain to the audience all about their recent trip to Belchamps and the fun activities they took part in on the day.The children shared a series of photographs and talked about what impact the day had on them. They then shared all about their learning about the Egyptians and talked through some of the cross curricular activities they had completed in order to research them.

Later on in the afternoon the children from across the entire school took part in a massive event, celebrating the fact that we are coming to the end of working together as a primary school. the classes from different age groups, from Foundation Stage to Year Six, mixed together to take part in team activities.

Some of the activities were adapted due to the rain but the wet weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the children! The children decorated biscuits together with the older children supporting their younger friends whilst others played team cooperation games in the hall which saw them having to work together to complete challenges.

There was a lovely atmosphere in each of the busy classrooms as both the children and the staff enjoyed working together and celebrating the fact that we have had a successful year.

At the end of the afternoon the ladies in the office were treated to another of the children’s talents as Kevin from Year Six dazzled them with some table top magic tricks. He amazed the ladies as he performed tricks which saw cards appear and reappear in different places which left them wondering how on earth he managed it!
