It was a fantastic day away from school for our Year Six pupils on the residential trip as they spent the first day of their adventure exploring the wonderful world of Harry Potter! Having studied the first book earlier in the year, their visit to the ‘Making of Harry Potter’ Warner Bros experience proved to be the perfect start to their stay away from Earls Hall. At the studios, the children visited the education centre where they learnt all about how a movie is produced from the initial idea right through to the finished product and all of the jobs which need completing on the way.
There was then time to explore the various attractions at the studios, including the Hogwart Express, the various sets from the movies, tasting Butter Beer, entering the Great Hall and seeing the hundreds of models and props on display which were used in the movie.
In the evening, the children settled into their accommodation and spent time outside relaxing, playing games and socialising after a hearty dinner.
It was a fabulous start to what looks set to be a memorable trip!
