It was a busy day for the members of the school council today as they were joined by a visitor at their meeting. Maddie Faulkner-Hatt, Mr Hatt’s daughter, is a youth member of parliament who came to speak to our school council about her role, the importance of having a voice and making changes for the better. The children were keen to ask questions to find out more about how to become a youth member of parliament. The children discussed our school food bank and further fund raising ideas for our local community. Thanks Maddie for giving us your time.

Meanwhile, as some of the children in the Foundation Stage took on the roles of archeologists in the builders tray and children from 6CW helped Miss Kelly to look after the farm animals, we held our two ‘Celebration Assemblies’ where we presented ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificates to individual children from each class for their effort and achievement. We also presented badges for times tables effort and for ‘Reading Champions’ achievements. Well done to all of the children presented with a badge or a certificate today, we are proud of you!
