Parent Power!

It was a proud day out in the playground today as we were joined by members of the PTA who came along to see the new defibrillator which their fundraising has paid for. The life saving equipment has been installed on the outside of the building, by the hall, in order to be available in the case of an emergency. The school already has a defibrillator situated in the office but we felt that we needed a second one due to the fact that the children are involved in so much outdoor learning and that our extensive grounds are used by the community seven days a week by a number of different groups. Hopefully we shall never need to use the equipment but it gives us all peace of mind that it is there so thank you to our wonderful PTA for donating the money to buy it.

The end of the week saw us host our three ‘Celebration Assemblies’ where we presented our ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificates to individual children from Years One to Six in recognition of their effort and achievement. The assemblies also saw us present lots more ‘Reading Champions’, many of them gold level, for reward children for reading at home and postcards for times table achievement. Well done to all of the children presented with badges or certificates today, we are proud of you!

The day also saw a group of children from |Kestrels help Miss Kelly look after the animals and our latest ‘Learning Ambassadors’ meet with Mr Stanton and Mrs Eshmade, our Chair and Vice Chair of the governing body, where they talked about the learning which has taken place across the school. After school, Mr Hadley and Mrs Gillard hosted the first of their WarHammer clubs where the children were introduced to the concept of the game and began creating their own characters.
