Marvellous Mapping!

It was a marvellous day for map making at Earls Hall today! The children in Year Two learnt about birds eye views in order to create maps of their classrooms with some of the children including a key to clarify what some of the objects were. There was more map work on show in Year Three as the children were interpreting a map of the school, creating a colour coded key in order to identify the different rooms, and their uses, across KS2.

As the children in |Year Five enjoyed a drama a music workshop courtesy of our friends at Chase High, it was a sporty day for the children in 6J. They started the morning by taking part in their third of four lessons this week over in the pool before, in the afternoon, taking to the upstairs hall for a spot of dodgeball.  There was more PE being enjoyed by the children in 6C as they enjoyed a game of tag rugby on the field.

As the children in Foundation Stage enjoyed developing their fine motor skills and pincer grips through a range of activities, the children in Hawks went out onto the playground in order to identify the various sights, smells and sounds that their senses could identify.  After school the downstairs hall played host to our weekly karate club where the children were put through their paces, listening to and following carefully instructions in order to carry out a sequence of moves.
