It was a special day again today at Earls Hall as the parents, grandparents and other family members of children in our youngest classes joined us in order to take part in the fun of our first Sports Days of the week!

In the morning, the children from the Foundation Stage took to the field in order to take part in their first day of this kind. Cheered on by their spectators, the children took part in flat, egg and spoon, sack, galloping and obstacle races and loved every second of it. In the afternoon it was the turn of the children from Years One and Two who, just like the children in the morning, were each dressed in their respective house colours as they competed against each other. The cheers and clapping echoed across the field as the children supported their various teams. Well done children, we are proud of you all!

At the end of each Sports Day there was a finale of adult races where parents took to the track in order to show the children how it is done! In the Year Two event there was even a teacher race. Thanks to all of the adults for, as always, being such great sports. Thanks also to all of the House Captains and members of the Sports Council who assisted on the day. It was another great community event which will be followed up with the KS2 Sports Days tomorrow.
