It was an exciting day for lots of children in Year Six today as they ventured out of school to take part in a residential trip to Stratford Upon Avon.
The day started with the children travelling to The World of Harry Potter where the children were treated to a behind the scenes experience of the famous films. The children saw the sets up close, were amazed by an array of special effects and costumes and even had a go at flying! Billy was given the honour of opening the tour by knocking the large knocker of the great hall as the group were celebrating his birthday!
Later in the afternoon the children played a series of games or socialised by the river before eating a delicious meal at the Riverside restaurant. The meal went down brilliantly with all of the children.
After dinner the children all booked into their rooms at the hotel before taking a walk into the town. They loved the calmness of the area and discussed the history of the town before spending time letting off steam at the play park. A great time was had by all. They then walked back and were all fast asleep in next to no time! It was a brilliant first day of the trip!
Meanwhile, back in school, the children in Year Two created their own story settings whilst the children in Year One used their ‘Forest Friends’ session to play large scale naughts and crosses, plant sunflowers and make their own perfumes.
