The weather turned a corner for the worse today but that didn’t stop the children in the Foundation Stage enjoying a nice warm swimming lesson over at the pool this morning. Our new enclosure is fit for purpose in all weathers and this morning saw the children gain in confidence once again in the water through a series of short challenges and games.

Meanwhile, back inside, the children in Squirrels were joined by a special visitor for the morning when former Earls Hall teacher, Mrs Giles (nee White) came into school to hear them read. Mrs Giles worked at the school in the 1970s and, with her two great grandchildren attending the school, has been a familiar face in school over the last few years.

This afternoon the children in Year Three developed their French skills by identifying parts of the body in the language. they designed their own aliens to label. The children take part in French lessons from the Foundation Stage onwards as an introduction to learning a modern foreign language.
