The work of our AOK (Acts of Kindness) club continued to take pace today as a group of children from Year One and Four joined Mr B to go and say thank you to the firefighters at Leigh Fire Station.

Last Friday the children baked the crew some biscuits and today they delivered them to the team at Greenwatch.

Dan and Rob showed the children around the station whilst they were there. They each had a turn at spraying the hose, watched Rob jump down the fire pole and even got to sit in the stations fire engine as it drove around the block and back into the station with its lights flashing and siren on!

It was a really special visit for Amber as her Grandad used to work at the station years ago and so she was delighted when she saw that his years of service was recognised in the form of a plaque on the wall.

The team at the station were all thrilled by how kind the children were and presented them with their AOK badges before they went home.
