Festive Feast & Tessellating Trees!

It was a lip-smackingly brilliant day for the children in KS2 today as they were treated to the culinary skills of the wonderful Mrs Warren-Hardy and her merry crew on the second day of our Christmas dinners at Earls Hall! Over in the Woodland Diner, the children came and sat in their classes as they enjoyed Christmas dinner with all of the trimmings served by teachers, middays, teaching assistants, sports coaches and office staff. The children were provided with crackers by the PTA and dined to the sound of classic Christmas hits which resulted in the children spontaneously bursting into song on several occasions! It was a fun filled festive feast which everyone enjoyed. Thank you to Mrs Warren-Hardy and her team for once again cooking up their magic in the kitchen and providing a tremendous lunch!

Whilst Miss Kelly worked with a group from children over in the duck and chicken enclosure, the children in Kestrels created their own fact -file posters about Mary Anning based on all of the facts they had discovered from Mr Martin as well as through their independent research on the internet.

Outside, as the children in Owls wrote their own versions of the nativity story from their story plans, the children in Aspen applied all they have recently been learning about tessellation when creating their own festive patterns. The children measured and cut out their own Christmas trees before tessellating them together on a page.
