Fantastic Fire!

As we head towards the end of term there was still lots of action taking place at Earls Hall today! The children in Year Six continued their watercolour pictures based on the style of William Turner. In 6M the children were laying down the background and foreground using a wash which, when dry for tomorrow, they will be adding the detail using a range of brush sizes and ensuring that they show a sense of perspective.

Out on the playground the children in Rabbits enjoyed some outdoor team games. They used the large space to play sticky mud and also took part in some team challenge games. Also outside, throughout the day the Forest Friends teachers welcomed more and more children to take part in their Christmas campfire sessions where they enjoyed hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Down in the Foundation Stage the children enjoyed role playing both indoors and outdoors. Some played in the kitchen whilst others pretended to be building toys in Santa’s workshop using the hammer and tacks. In Hedgehogs, Miss Scarlett was assisted by Otis the otter puppet to help the children familiarise themselves with the names of 3D shapes. In the computer suite the children in 6J continued to research the River Thames.
