Eggs for Everyone!

The Spring term, for school in it’s usual form, ended a little early today but that didn’t stop the children receiving their annual visit from the Easter Bunny! Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to see the children during Easter itself, our fluffy tailed friend popped by in order to visit each class and give the pupils their usual chocolate eggs. With the current climate very much in his mind, the Easter Bunny applied social distance but still caused a stir of excitement at the end of the day. He also told the team that any child who was not in school today would receive their chocolate egg along with their home learning book when it is delivered next week.

Earlier in the day Mrs Robinson announced the results of  this years Chess competition. Finalists, Sienna and Isabel  played a close match over three lunchtimes.  Although Isabel was ahead on points, she agreed to share first place, showing great sportsmanship and consideration for her friend who was unable to come to school for the last day. Well done girls, we are proud of you!

Throughout the day there was lots of fun and laughter out on the playground as the children once again enjoyed the great outdoors. The teachers eagerly shared their ability to skip and hula-hoop and a great time was enjoyed by all.

It was also a special day in Squirrels as the children helped celebrate the special birthday of the lovely Mrs Horncastle, all be it a little early. The children donned party hats and presented our much loved teaching assistant with flowers. Happy Birthday when the time comes Mrs Horncastle!
