It was another fantastic day of team work at Earls Hall today as a group of children from KS2 represented the school at the KS2 inter-schools Panathalon competition! Hosted by Cecil Jones High School, the team were challenged to take part in a number of aiming, throwing and dribbling activities which were scored as individuals and then added together to create a team total. Coached by Mr Gordon and supported by the teachers from the Cabin, the children all showed growth mindsets and there was a determined spirit as they took part in each challenge. The children performed brilliantly, all enjoying themselves throughout the morning, and finished in a magnificent third place! Well done children, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, back in school, as Miss Kelly was joined by children in Dormice and Hawks in order to look after the animals, the children in Willow enjoyed a fun tag rugby lesson with Mr Crooks as the children in Elm developed their football skills with Mr Hadley.

In Kites, the children used the IT suite to create their own powerpoints based on the research they had carried out about volcanoes whilst there was more technology being used upstairs in Beech where the children researched the teachings of Jesus in preparation for feeding back what they have learnt in whatever style they choose. In Oak the children were investigating natural food chains whilst in Aspen the children took part in a discussion about aspects of Saxon life.

Throughout the day, children from across the school visited the PTA Mothers Day Sale where they were able to purchase gifts from a wide selection of items. Thanks, as always, to all of the parents who gave their time to run the sale.
