It was another proud day for sport at Earls Hall as a group of children from Year Six represented the school at the Southend inter-schools ‘Aquathon’ event. the event was a mixture of pool and track events and saw the children each complete a 100m swim before carrying out a 1k run. The event was a time trial event and overall the boys finished in fourth place and the girls came in second. As individuals our Niah finished in a magnificent second place and our Tom triumphed in first place. Supported by their coaches, Mr Knight and Mr Crooks, the children were all amazing and their encouragement towards each other was fantastic to see. Well done children, we are proud of you!
Meanwhile, back in school, as a group of children from 6C helped Miss Kelly look after the animals, the children in Hawks enjoyed their Forest Friends session. The children enjoyed the beautiful weather in order to make their own perfumes and potions in the sunshine. Other children create their own shelters and made a series of obstacle courses for their friends to follow out on the grass.
As the children in Aspen investigated the roles of consumers and producers as part of the animal food chain, the children in Kites enjoyed a fantastic PE lesson with Mr Gordon in the downstairs hall.
