The final few days of the term started with a busy Monday today. The children in KS1 were joined in assembly by a representative from ‘Steps Ahead’ who came in to tell the children all about the KS1 club starting after the Christmas holiday. She explained that ‘Steps Ahead’ has been running a club at Earls Hall for over fifteen years but that this is the first time spaces would be available for our younger children.

As the day progressed the children in Year Two made Christmas boxes by cutting and scoring a net to make a cube which they had previously decorated. The children in Foundation Stage wrote Christmas stories with Miss Toms whilst Squirrels made tree decorations and Rabbits wrote letters to Father Christmas.

Rodney the rabbit came into school today, having been a little poorly for the last couple of weeks. In celebration of him being back in good spirits some consistently well behaved children were chosen to pop down to the Riverside Room and read him stories.

In the afternoon the children in KS2 enjoyed a fantastic disco courtesy of Micky B. Year Three and Four danced until they dropped throughout the afternoon whilst Year Five and Six enjoyed a session after school. The discos included dancing competitions and even a mannequin challenge attempt!
