Delightful DT!

It was a fabulous end to the week at Earls Hall and one which saw the children in Years Two and Three both enjoy a day of Design Technology! The children in Year Two used cardboard boxes, wood and wheels in order to create their own stunning moon buggies. Working from their designs, they attached the wheels and axles by sawing the axles to size and securing them on to the main body of their buggies. Each moon buggy was unique and reflected the individual designers ideas.

Meanwhile, upstairs in Year Three, the children chose to make replica dwellings from either the Neolithic Mesolithic or Paleolithic eras. They chose how to build their models, joining different materials using string, tape or glue. Again, there was a range of unique models constructed and some great team work on show as they negotiated ideas.

In Year One there has been a sense of celebration on show over the past few days as the children have helped the lovely Mrs Sullivan prepare for her wedding. Mrs Sullivan is marrying our former Assistant Site Manager, Mr Hatt, this weekend and so the children threw her a party at the end of the day on Thursday in order to wish her luck. We wish the new Mr and Mrs Hatt a long and happy life together!
