Craft & Cross Country!

The penultimate day of the term was a productive one at Earls Hall! It was the final day of cross country running today and the children in Squirrels, Rabbits and Sycamore all took to the field to try and smash their personal bests, beating last weeks times. There were plenty of smiling, if a little exhausted, faces as the children completed the course and a great time was had by all.

Inside, the children in 6M used the laptops in order to research the events of the D Day landings whilst the children in Year five completed their Victorian cress gardens and added the finishing touches to their Victorian wooden toys. The children have really enjoyed independently building the toys using the saws, drills and glue guns and the end results are looking good!

Downstairs, the children in the Foundation Stage took part in a series of Easter themed craft activities whilst the children in Year Two cut, folded, scored and cut paper in order to make Easter baskets. In Oak there was more 3D shape investigations taking place whilst, in the afternoon, the children in Sycamore swam lengths of the pool.

There was plenty of animal action as more Year Six children worked with the goats, some children in Dormice fed and played with George the tortoise and Mabel was taken for several walks around the field.
