It was another thrilling day of sporting pride for Earls Hall today, this time for the children in KS1. A group of children from across Years One and Two represented the school at this years KS1 Southend Cross Country competition held at Garons. The children have been practising their running for weeks and today their hard work paid off as they all completed the course brilliantly making Mrs O’Rourke and Miss Childs burst with pride! Well done to all of the children who represented the school and a particular well done to Jasper from Year One who came a magnificent third place. We are proud of you all!

Meanwhile, back in school, the children in  Kestrels took part  in a data handling lesson.  They surveyed favourite subjects in the class and recorded this in a tally chart.  They then converted this into pictograms.

Downstairs in Year Two the children in Foxes were searching for signs of Spring in Forest Friends where they were identifying various Spring plants on the school grounds, some of which were found at the bottom of the field.  In Year One Woodpeckers were making the most of the sunshine with an outdoor PE lesson where they had to develop their teamwork skills in a game of domes and dishes.  Each team had to compete against the other as they aim to turn over the most cones in a given time limit.
