The litter picking craze currently sweeping through Earls Hall continued to take pace today as children from Year Four took part in a community clean up! Armed with gloves and litter picking equipment, the children from Elm and Oak took to the surrounding roads of the school in order to collect as much rubbish as possible. The children then looked at the litter and discovered that the largest amount of waste was plastic based. Well done to all of the children involved!

Meanwhile, back inside, the children in Hedgehogs were visited by Mrs Rick and Mabel the school dog. the children have recently shown an interest in pets and so today they asked Mrs rick lots of questions about our puppy in order to find out how to look after her. This resulted in lots of pictures and mark making based on Mabel as well as some doggy role play!

Upstairs in 6M the children used hand saws to cut wood to size to be used in their structure making project whilst outside the children in Year One developed their hammering skills in ‘Forest Friends’ using a pumpkin, hammer and golf tees.
