It was a busy day for a group of children in Year Four today as some children from Oak ventured out of school in order to take part in our latest ‘AOK Club’ mission. The children visited Mrs Stanton and Tom at Earls Hall Baptist Church where they helped the team prepare for services by taking part in a cleaning spree! The children worked in teams in order to polish all of the wood and glass in the church, helping each other to check for smears along the way. They also helped arrange a series of toys in preparation for pre-school children’s visits and in doing so checked that all of the toys were complete with all of their parts. It was a busy afternoon where all of the children worked very hard and Katie and Tom were pleased to present the team with their special badges. Well done children, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, back in school, having had some children start the day by taking part in snooker club, Miss Kelly was assisted by a group of children in Beech to help look after the animals. They had a particularly lovely time tending to the chickens where they collected their eggs before topping up their food and water.

Out of the front of the school, the children in Squirrels used their Forest Friends session in order to tell imaginative stories. They collected natural items from around the woods to use as settings but also set up a puppet theatre out of tarpaulin in order to create their own shows for each other.

After school Mr Trigg hosted another ‘Construction Club’ where the session took on a sporting theme where the children created their own stadiums out of Lego.
