CHALLENGE ASSEMBLY!

The theme of this morning was one of setting personal challenges and how to achieve them through hard work.

The KS1 assembly started with our latest ‘Reading Champions’ being presented with their badges and this morning there was the added excitement of some of our children being crowned ‘Ultimate reading Champions’ and being presented with special medals as a result.

After the presentations, in both the KS1 and KS2 assemblies, Mr B talked through with the children about how satisfying it can be to set personal challenges. He explained that tomorrow he would be walking twenty five miles from his home in Witham all the way to Earls Hall, accompanied throughout by Mrs Rick, and that this was their personal challenge- something which was not part of their normal day and that would be hard to achieve. he explained that they had both been training by walking further and further each day and were using the event to collect sponsorship money which will be used to purchase new climbing equipment for the school.

At the end of the assembly Mr B asked the children to think of their own personal challenges that they would like to achieve. Each KS1 class was challenged to think of a group challenge to try and achieve by the end of the week!
