There was plenty of activity in the Early Years Garden today as the children in the Foundation stage took turns to travel over and under the climbing apparatus. The children grew in confidence as the afternoon progressed and were really encouraging to each other as they even hung upside down with adult supervision. Meanwhile, the lovely Mrs Dalgarno demonstrated to the children her hula-hooping skills and they each tried to replicate her style! Inside Dormice the children were challenged to maneuver their way around a buzz wire by keeping a steady hand. The classroom was full of buzzing noises as the metal hook touched the wire but, again with encouragement, the children stuck with their challenge and got further and further along the wire each time.

Inside, in Oak, the children investigated Anglo-Saxon villages. they researched what it was like to live in the villages before designing their very own and sharing with each other the main features.

Up in Year six the children continued to develop their understanding of electrical circuits by inserting switches and identifying from diagrams which circuits would and would not work successfully.

Outside the children in Rabbits all visited the goat enclosure. Geraldine, Gerald and Gordon entertained the children and lapped up all of the attention they were given!
